Rottweiler Severely Attacks Owner in Ohio

Rottweiler Bites Owner; Had Previously Bitten Child
Parkersburg, OH - A Washington County woman has a broken arm and nearly a 1000 cuts after her own pet rottweiler attacked her Sunday. Dog Warden Steven Strahler said 54-year old Sherida Atkinson was taken to St Joseph's hospital and then transported to Charleston General Hospital.

The attack happened when Atkinson tried to break up a fight between her two dogs (the other breed is unknown). Strahler said that this isn't the first time the rottweiler has bitten someone. Earlier the dog bit one of her adult children. Strahler took the animal into custody and the owner asked that it be euthanized. The Washington County Sheriff's Department notified neighbors to keep children inside. No one else was injured.

I find it extremely difficult to feel sympathy for owners who are harmed by their own dogs.
