Roll Call: Texans Killed by Pit Bulls in 2007
DogsBite.org - In 2007, the State of Texas lead the nation in fatal dog attacks (7). Of these fatalities, 86% (6) were attributed to pit bulls. On May 18, 2008, a new Texan became a fatal attack victim of pit bulls: Tanner Joshua Monk, 7-years old. The statewide Texas anti-BSL measure, which forbids municipalities from enacting breed-specific laws, helps enable these tragic deaths and continues to allow owners and breeders of these dogs to go unregulated.Texans Killed by Pit Bulls in 2007:

It never ends. I'd say it's getting out of hand, but I fear that happened years ago...
I don't know how many of you have ever read this, but it is a good read. Pit bull lovers constantly tell us how in the past pit bulls were so popular and loved, the All-American Dog. It never quite made sense to me. This account explains a lot of things and makes far more sense - enjoy:
