4-Year Old Critical After Pit Bull Attack in Chicago

UPDATE 09/10/08: The family said the attack occurred while Jaslin Sampre, 4-years old, was playing with her grandmother. "We just moved here on Sunday," said her father, Jose Rodriguez. "The dog attacked her, just like that." Rodriguez said that Jaslin's condition was better today. He described her as a "talkative, beautiful girl" who liked her school uniform so much that she insisted on wearing it all the time, even to bed.

09/06/08: Pit Bull Lived in Building Complex
Chicago, IL - A 4-year-old girl is critical after being attacked by a pit bull while in her backyard in the Humboldt Park neighborhood. The girl was in her yard when a pit bull, which also lived in the building, attacked her. The child was taken to Children's Memorial Hospital. The dog's owner, William Baez, 58, of the same address, was issued citations for no dog license and for having an animal that bit another person.

Chicago considered spay/neuter of pit bulls after the terrible Nick Foley mauling---they need to consider again only this time do it! However, this is a poor child and they never seem to count for much---
