UPDATE 07/18/20: On July 16, East Providence police were dispatched to 99 Brookhaven Drive at 2:45 pm for a report of a "disturbance and confrontation." DogsBite.org recorded 48 fatal dog attacks in 2019, the highest recorded in a single year. Pit bulls contributed to 69% (33) of these deaths, followed by "mixed-breed," involved in 6 deaths. For the first time, the 30-49 age group sustained more deaths (13) than the 0-4 age group (12). Pit bulls inflicted 85% of these adult deaths.
