Rottweiler trapped after multiple attacks
Rottweiler Trapped After Multiple AttacksSurry County, NC - Animal Control officers rounded up three dogs, including a rottweiler, they believed to have killed several dogs in Mount Airy this week. A mauling incident fatally injured one dog. Animal control officers picked up two of the animals after they were signed over by their owner. The rottweiler had to be trapped.
Sgt. M.D. Bumgardner responded to a call and found the three dogs tugging on a medium-size, white-tannish male dog that appeared to be dead. The two dogs that were with the rottweiler, which Bumgardner described as “family pet dogs,” were traced to Patricia Gonzalez Ramirez. As a result, Ramirez, 32, was charged with allowing animals to run at large in violation of a citywide leash law. Ramirez is not the owner of the rottweiler.
Gunnell said the dogs have exhibited aggressive behavior, they cannot be adopted out and will be destroyed.
