Multiple Name Using Pit Bull Owner Has Multiple Stories
Greeley, CO - A Greeley man remains in the North Colorado Medical Center's Intensive Care Unit after being attacked by two pit bulls. The owner of the dog was serving a 10-day jail sentence at the time of the attack. Gregario Rios, 54, suffered severe injuries to his head and face and one ear was almost torn off in the attack.
Sheri Gerdie, who also goes by Sheri Pisano, is the owner of the dogs. During her jail stay, the dogs were being cared for by Victor Pisano. Apparently, Rios fed the male dog because Victor "couldn’t handle the male." Victor told reporters that he went the grocery store, and when he got home, he found Rios on the floor "with blood all over."
In a different press account, a few days later, Sheri said she hopes her friend recovers, and that she can save her pit bulls, Tech and Budha, too. "The person that this happened to I love him, he's a good friend of mine," she said. "I'm very sorry for what happened, but the male dog didn't know him." (It is presumed she is out of jail at this point).
Victor, who in the first press account said he "couldn't handle the male dog," and that he returned to the house after the attack, now says he witnessed the attack and that it was provoked. "The other dog needed to go out," said Victor. "He (Rios) hit him trying to go in. So the dog attacked him," said Victor.
Sheri says that her friend Rios, who was attacked by the dog, doesn't blame the dogs and doesn't want them to be put down -- It's hard to imagine that with severe injuries to the face and head such a statement from Rios is possible. Sheri has requested a hearing to defend her dogs in court next week.
Sheri's account is not only unbelievable, it lacks morality.
