Rottweilers Attack Elderly Woman in Apopka
One Dog Had Been Labeled "Dangerous"Apopka, FL - Over the weekend, a 69-year old woman (also reported as 80-years old) was severely mauled by three loose rottweilers. "She was just walking and the dogs attacked her," said animal control officer Charles Griffin. The victim was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center and into surgery with severe bites to her legs. The woman is expected to survive the attack.
Cecil Jackson, who was taking care of the dogs while the owners were out of town, faces a fine up to $1,500 dollars for allowing the dogs to run loose and cause severe injuries. Officers say they've been to the house before due to the animals. Furthermore, one of the rotweillers named Roxy was declared dangerous last year. Currently, the animals are in animal control custody.
Who knows if the dog owner told the dogsitter that Roxy had a dangerous past? Who knows if this victim will ever be able to walk again?

Well, apparently pit bull owners are getting angry that police officers have to keep shooting their dogs..

I am quoting from the article below...
"The two owners (of the English bulldog) literally had to beat the pit bulls off with brooms,” Dessoye said. “The officers’ assessment was the only way to get the pit bulls off the English bulldog was to shoot the dogs. The animals were obviously a danger to humans as well as pets even though they were just harming the dog. Officers had no choice but to shoot the dogs to save the life of the other dog. One of the officers is a seasoned canine handler and he agreed with the way things happened.”
Now police officers are being asked to defend their decision to shoot roaming pit bulls that threaten public safety; because some thug whines that their pit bulls are just pets, and so what if they were running loose and trying to disembowel another dog!
Our tax dollars at work, folks!

The owner was also hurt trying to save his two helpless dogs...a small orkshire terrier, and a black lab with only three legs.
