Kahului, HA - A fight involving more than 20 people broke out at the end of a purebred pit bull dog show at the War Memorial soccer field. Witnesses said that at least one woman suffered injuries that needed treatment by paramedics. Groups from all over the state gathered at the field to participate in the Pure Breed Kennels’ Bullies in Paradise dog show.

"They was swinging wild," he said. At one point the fight ended up under his tent, with one man grabbing a hammer that was used to set up the tent.

At least nine police cars and an ambulance responded to the fight, which caused a temporary traffic backup along the side entrance to the event. The dog show included berserking pit bulls and Hawaii’s Strongest Dog contest.
