Victim Hospitalized
Orange County, FL - A one-year old pit bull bit a 13-year-old girl several times until she was able to run across the street and jump on the roof of a car. The dog cornered her there until help came. Witnesses said the dog was circling the car with its attention completely focused on the girl. The dog belongs to Luis Bedoya and the 13-year-old is his niece. He said she was playing rough with the animal when it started snapping at her.
Another uncle, blaming another niece?
Orange County deputies said the dog managed to bite the girl three times, leaving puncture wounds on her legs and sending her to the hospital. A Progress Energy worker said she spotted the girl scrambling on top of the car and whimpering for help. The worker sprayed the dog with Halt, a chemical often used by postal workers to ward off potentially dangerous pets. The article did not state the effectiveness of this spray.
