Attacked Pit Bull Owners Order Dog to Be Put Down
Horse Play, Loud Music Caused AttackUPDATE 10/17/08: A video update reports that the owners of the dog had been "horse playing" with the music turned up loud and the pit bull "suddenly attacked." (See a related post on pit bull triggers). The dog then tore off into the woods. The reporter said, "This dog already attacked its owners, there's no telling what it would have done to a complete stranger." Both victims suffered severe bite wounds to their arms.
10/17/08: Dog to Be Put Down
Charlotte, NC - Two men recently helped a couple being attacked by their pit bull. Witnesses said they saw a woman being bit on the elbow then a man came out of the home, already bleeding from an apparent attack. The two men grabbed pieces of wood and a broom to fight off the dog. "There was no choice," Jeff Frost said, who used the piece of wood. "They were screaming for help, and someone had to come to the rescue."
The dog was taken away and will be put down.Owners of dangerous dogs nearly always have the dog euthanized after it attacks them. When their dog attacks someone else or an animal (even if it is a second attack or when the attack results in amputation), they typically fight like mad to keep their dog alive. Two notable examples concern uncles in Kansas and New York. Each strove to keep their dogs alive after both inflicted serious attacks upon their nieces.
These types of attacks must destroy families.

Dumbass-disloyal-maulers!
It's always refreshing when the owner takes the mauling instead of an innocent!

Call the AC Every Time the dog is loose. Every Time!
No matter how much the owner tries to bully you.
(Ours bullies by talking loudly about how 'mean' we are.) Most pit bull owners are passive aggressive, that's how so many 'accidents' happen, they are set up by the owner to happen out of misplaced anger.
Makes sure that citations that cost money are given.
That means they will be with the animal when (not if) it snaps. You have to close the circle of the animal's space as much as possible.
It makes the owners steam.

Also VIDEOTAPE the loose dog roaming but also with its owner or going in the house or yard.
If Animal control does nothing, the video can be brought to mayor, city council, or the media.
Plus, a lot of these lawbreakers change their tune fast when they realize they will be documented on tape so they can't lie their way out of it.
