Video: Charlotte's Crusade, Surviving a Pit Bull Attack
Omaha, NE - Please take a moment to watch this heartfelt and educational video by the family of Charlotte Blevins. Little Charlotte was attacked by a pit bull while strapped into a play wagon in late June. The dog ripped off part of her scalp. Her mother Wendy, along with another mother, Carly Spring, and child Cade were also injured in the attack. The pit bull had casually approached the group of four. Without any warning, it launched a violent attack. In addition to leaving a comment below, please leave one on the YouTube page by clicking this link.

Great video and such a cute kid!
Stop these assaults on children by the world's ugliest breed. Ban them now and forever!

I was doing research for a paper that I am currently doing, when I can across this video. Not only did it touch my heart but I used it in my speech for class to persuade the class to sign my petition to ban the sale of pit bulls in the state of Texas. My prayers go out to you and your family.

I actually have a red nose pit bull and i am going to get rid of her because of the fact that she has been showing warning signs of snapping... She has a beautiful 3 acres to play on and All the food in the world to eat. she has other dogs to play with and is never beaten or spanked. This dog was my life but now i can't risk my 9 month old daughters safety. I agree these dogs need to be ban. Its going to rip my heart out but its the only thing to do. There is just something that is not right about the breed.

I am so sorry that happened to that precious baby girl! I hate pit bulls and think that the owners should serve jail time when they attack. Actually I wish that it was illeagal to even own them. I am so glad to see that she is recovering and she is still soooo beautiful!

I had just adopted a "rescue" red nose pitbull (1 yr old) sweet dog/house trained but was having some issues with being corrected on bad behavioor: ie jumping, biting leash. Was trying to get him to relax when he started growling, jumped on me,snapping at my jacket sleeve. Finally got him to sit and briefly calm down. But decided right there he was going back to the animal shelter.I kept seeing major issues with this dog later on.

You have a beautiful daughter, thank God each day that although the attack was vicious and uncalled for, you still have your daughter...I lost my 2 yr old grandson on Oct 28 2009 to a Pit Bull that was on a chain in a neighbors yard but to a two year old a chain does not mean danger, only the ability to "pet the puppydog"...this was no puppydog, it was there to be a vicious attack dog and was not behind a fence as "those animals" should be! I have always hated pitbulls and now my hatred for them is even more evident! Kiss your child each day and be thankful you can still look into her lovely innocent eyes, for I can never look into my grandson's big innocent blue eyes again, we laid him to rest on November 1, 2009....I agree ban the pitbulls and for those areas that do not ban, have stricter regulations and mandatory insurance in place! Love your baby everyday, for I can only love a memory.....
