Lorain, OH - In February, Lorain officials said they were "close" to working out a pit bull ordinance. As in other Ohio cities, officials want to add several new conditions on pit bulls -- the state of Ohio already deems the breed "vicious." Lorain may add the following requirements: stricter confinement, one pit bull per household and sterilization.
DogsBite.org encourages Lorain to hurry up. Just recently a 7-year old girl was attacked by a pit bull. It happened at 6:15 p.m. Saturday in the 5800 block of Dibble Avenue. The dog escaped from a house and attacked the girl, who was visiting relatives.
