Pit Bull Bites Mail Carrier in Springfield
Pit Bull Bites Another Mail CarrierSpringfield IL - A 43-year old mail carrier was bitten in the face by a pit bull. He suffered puncture wounds to his nose, lip and cheek. The postal worker was walking across the street about 1:50 p.m. when he heard a man yell. When he looked in the direction of the yelling, a brown pit bull jumped him. He held up his mail bag for protection, but the dog leaped over the bag and bite his face.
The pit bull’s owner claims he had the dog on a leash in the front yard but when the dog saw the mail carrier, it took off, breaking the leash. The dog is in custody.
DogsBite.org wonders when the USPS will step up and support legislation directly aimed at preventing these bites.

Leash breakin', chain breakin', fence bustin'...It's clear that Pit Bull owners cannot contain these animals via normal means.

let's not forget glass breaking.

Friday, a loose pit bull attempted to break through the window of a house to attack another dog -- the other dog was cut from the glass.
now that's some serious prey drive!
