Boy Attacked by Chained Pit Bull
Palestine, TX - An 8-year-old boy suffered "severe" arm injury Sunday afternoon after he was bitten by a neighbor's pit bull. The boy was transported to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. His injury does not appear to be life threatening.

The female, who recently had puppies, was chained at the time. The boy was reaching down to pick up a basketball when the pit bull appeared and bit him. The pit bull will be quarantined for 10 days.
