Knox County Man Wants Tougher Dog Laws
Dog Mauled to Death by Neighbor's AkitaKnox County, TN - Steve Bass is pushing for tougher laws in Knox County after his 17-year old dog was killed by his neighbor's Akitas. This was the third time the Akitas injured his dog Max. This time, the injuries were so severe Max had to be euthanized. Bass comments:
"It's not okay for a vicious animal to continue to attack a non-vicious animal and for the owner to say, 'You don't have to worry. It's not going to hurt your children,'" Bass said. "This morning it killed my dog.According to Bass, this is the second dog the Akitas have killed. Unfortunately, this is the first time animal control has been called. The neighbors had apparently tried to work with the irresponsible Akita owner without success. The owner has been cited for having dogs running at large and having potentially dangerous dogs.

What about reporting their asses to their homeowner's insurance? Wouldn't it be great if we could do that?

From Jennifer Lowe's Aunt
It would be great...if such a thing existed. Unfortunately there is NO protection in Tennessee.
Can you attend the Candlelight Vigil for Jennifer? It's Monday january 7th 2007. At the steps of the City/County Building in Knoxville.
Even if you can only stay 15 minutes...please go.
Tennesseans DESERVE to have PROTECTION!
Aunt Sue
