Grandmother Charged in Dog Attack Fatality
Tracy Shelton Charged in Holden Jernigan's DeathSummerville, SC - The grandmother of Holden Jernigan, who was attacked and killed by the family's pit bull December 13, 2007, faces charges of unlawful neglect of a child.
Prosecutors say Shelton fell asleep Dec. 13 while watching Holden. The boy then wandered out the back door of the home and into the fenced yard where the dog was kept. Authorities say Tracy Shelton was charged with unlawful conduct toward a child and released on bond.
This is the second case in Dorchester County this year of a family pit bull killing a toddler. Back in April, a similar type dog killed one-year-old Brian Palmer. His mother, Natasha Wilson, also faces charges of unlawful neglect of a child. Read more about 2007 dog bite fatalities.

Hey anonymous idiot - Pay Attention!
The surprising twist is not referring to the attack but that the grandmother is being charged.
Your knee jerk reaction to anything negative that is written about pit bulls makes you look stupid.
